I’m Carole, the founder of Bottoms Up Wine Parties—and I’m so glad you’re here.

I started Bottoms Up in 2018 as one of Edmonton’s first mobile sommelier services, with a simple goal-  to make wine more approachable, enjoyable, and something people feel confident exploring.

By day, I work as an Account Manager supporting small businesses across Alberta. But wine has always been where my passion truly lies.

I hold two certifications through the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), a globally recognized program for wine education. After completing my Level 1 in 2018, I went on to earn my Level 3 certification in 2020 with Merit. That experience deepened my understanding of wine in a way that completely changed how I taste, choose, and enjoy it—and it’s something I love sharing with others.

When I host a tasting, my focus is always the same: creating an experience that feels fun, relaxed, and easy to follow. Wine should never feel intimidating—it should feel exciting.

My goal is for you and your guests to leave not only having had a great time, but feeling more confident choosing wines you truly enjoy.

Because at the end of the day, wine is about connection—and I’d love to be part of your next gathering.
